Linking Aberavon Beach, through Afan Forest Park to Glyncorrwg and Blaengwynfi to the north of the valley, the new National Cycle Route 887 will take you from valley to coast!
Join the cycle route from Aberavon Seafront, Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre or Glyncorrwg Ponds Visitor Centre. Follow the blue national cycle route signposts.
In 2007 as part of a public vote, a proposed cycle route from Aberavon Seafront to Afan Forest Park was successful in receiving funding from the Big Lottery Fund as part of the sustrans Connect2 scheme. The Connect2 scheme aims to create safe, attractive footpaths and cycle routes between Aberavon Seafront, Port Talbot, Cwmafan, Pontrhydyfen and Afan Forest Park, connecting local people to their shops, schools, work and green spaces.
