From Monday 28 June Rhyslyn road and car park will be closed for approximately 12 weeks in order to ensure the health and safety of visitors whilst tree clearance is carried out above the car park on an area of trees which are diseased with Dothistroma septosporum (red band needle blight). Some trails within the forest will also be affected.

Alternative parking is being provided at Tymaen, near Afan Visitor Centre and there will be attendants on site seven days a week to manage traffic and parking. Signage and barriers will be in place to make closures and diversions clear to road users.

Please note refurbishment works are currently underway to the public toilets and shower facilities at Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre Car Park. Work is also underway to enhance the car park and create additional capacity. These works are scheduled to complete by September 2021.

During this time temporary public toilet facilities will be made available to visitors and there will be a temporary reduction in available parking spaces on site in order to facilitate these works. We apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst these improvements are delivered.

Parking at Glyncorrwg Mountain Bike Centre is unaffected.

The mountain biking and walking trails in Afan Forest Park are open.
