South Wales Miners Museum

To experience the heritage and culture of the Afan Valley visit the newly refurbished South Wales Miners Museum. The combination of the rich and proud industrial heritage of the Afan Valley set in the tranquil Afan Forest Park, makes this a must see attraction. A replica miner’s tunnel is the gateway to a journey full of mining history. Exhibits of photographs, models and various artefacts (both indoor and outdoor) convey the history of coal mining in the area.
